But also i rlly appreciate that this author shows us you can do rape/sa without making it gratuitous like we all know what's happening and we feel the weight of it but the author is using her pages to show the psychology and aftermath, the terror and depression. Ugh bruh he cant catch a break!
Why do yall want the MC to sleep with ML bro? Its not like MC gets anything good out of it, ML bro only views him as a toy to use against the ML, he doesn't even gaf abt MC. Even preying on MC weakness(his scar) to get into his pants. At least if bro had feelings for MC id understand, but his interest in MC is only cause of ML. I loved everything about it. I liked the doodles instead of chibis, the humor, Juwons early crush, the doubts and insecurities, as well as the resolutions. The pairing was so awkward at first lol but it was realistic. The sex scenes were so good! Theyre so hot. Every scene with Jeungmin, even if he was quiet, had me convinced he was suffering from cuteness aggression as a result of Juwon being so dang cute! And author admitted in her ending notes he was! I agree that while he didnt talk much, his actions showed everything. I liked the sports aspects too. I feel like this tied up just when it needed to, neither dragging on nor being too short.
I finished the mains and onto the extras, but wanted to give my thoughts so far. Tbh maybe the first couple was too good that the second was ok for me. Like Sion was truly a character, very fleshed out, felt real. He had flaws like pride, pessimism, and self-destruction. I sympathized with him, felt sad for him, and worried about him. I also liked his soft heart, his loneliness, and his deep emotions toward others. The scenes where he uses sex to cope and hurt himself and where he seemed to think he was drowning in water were so painful and so real. I think the author put alot of thought into him.
Seungwon was also very distinct. He had a dream, goals, unique insights for his age(the quote about being made to quit free style but choosing to do butterfly, then comparing it to his relationship with Sion, was so lovely). I liked that he had courage befitting his age, a kind of composure that was beyond his age, and also had moments of childishness that was youthful. He was poor, but loved his family, he compromised for his dreams, and had a good head on his shoulders. He was very dimensional, not just some perfect ML.
The two of them as a couple was amazing. I felt they deserved each other so much. Even tho they slept together fast, they had so many introspective moments, and things they did together outside of sex, I felt they truly knew each other. Things did wrap up too fast imo(the evidence and the olympics) but I guess the author was rushing for the second part. I felt we could have another 20 chapters just addressing Sions self-destructive habits, Seungwons career, Sions family, Seungwon possibly going to college and the military. I still liked what we got in the end tho and im so glad they're happy.
As for the second couple it was a bit inexplicable but still cute. The two look great together as well. It just didnt feel as deep and I felt it had way more sex scenes. By like chapter 80 I felt it was too long tbh. There's rlly only so much you can tell about a sponsor relationship between an idol and his CEO boss fan before it drags. I looked back to see how long the first couples story was but they're about the same length and I thought that one was too short lol.
I was also a little upset that the second couples top(the CEO) didnt really value his old friendship with Sion as much as Sion did based on the memories. Like this guy thought of Sion as a rival and didnt care if he was happy, he just wanted Sion to dump Seungwon(regardless of Sion happiness) just so his own love(Hajin) can be happy? Really? Sion also barely appears in his memories nor does he seem to matter much. But in Sions memories, he has a big influence. He is Sions dear friend and savior. But ig its as Sion said, the deep friendship for him was just a passerby for the CEO. The CEO only reached out fr(the other attemps were halfhearted tbh) when Hajin wanted him to. This was actually dissapointing for me, since I felt their friendship could've been explored. Hajins and Sions relationship was more explored then them, even tho it had less impact(to me). Ig some think a top and bottom of diff pairings cant be close friends.
Overall it was very good and I still enjoyed it. Im gonna read the extras now.
This is the type of story that feels like pulling out teeth if you read it as a serial but prob reads like gold when its completed and you can read it as a whole. What im trying to say is that I will come back when its done.
What is with the ppl coming from Passion to hate on xinlu or say he got topped? Does it rlly matter in his own story? I feel like yall are trying to dissuade readers just cause Ragas getting a little popular on here. Go hate Xinlu in Passion or say that stuff in that comment section. Its fine to warn others so ppl dont waste their time but the way its being spammed its obv just harrasment. So many side couples get their own story(even villains) but u dont see this much hate. Its not that deep. This is an original book and a legitimate side couple made by the author, its not some side story on the main story to interfere with yall ship. Stop messing with the comment section, ppl cant even see chapter discussions on the first comment page bc of the spamming.

Ppl aren't getting that nobody said he was a green. Its just dissapointing that the author CHOSE to go this route. Even if the two of them had a wrestling match and fist fought on the spot, it would be more interesting than this. This is expected from all the yandere possesive tops out there(which ml is) but ppl were expecting smth more interesting(ppl had high expectations of the author, not ML) even if this lines up with what MOST mls of this type would have done.
Its just that this is such a common plot point we expected some originality from the author. Something different, even if it wasnt smth fluffy or communication. We could all see this from a mile away, yall are right, but thats bc its so basic, so simple, so BORING, so lazy, and so predictable, that we begged it not to happen bc then anyone could predict the plot from here until the very end. Its not even interesting anymore tbh. Ppl can guess the next ten steps of this story just based on this one chapter.
In a year, ppl might not even remember this story bc it went down the same steps every other story before it went. It could've been remembered as smth diff, but it won't.
So its not that the ML has to be a green flag. But we cant get some variety anymore? Some diversity? Does possesive yandere mean its the same rape plot everytime? He couldnt fake his death, lure MC out of hiding, then make him admit his feelings? He couldnt use some manipulative tactics, which follow his dark personality, but arent rape? Even threatening MC companions to force MC to stay by his side is at least different. Does it have to be the same reaction by these ML everytime? The authors are basically all writing the same ML character. The same MC too, since they all just forgive. These webtoons are all just blending together at this point, you cant even tell them apart.
That being said I dont agree with slamming the author they're obv doing this for a check. And ppl obv love this plot based on the popularity of other manhwas. Just saying ppls upset is genuine and understandable.

Ok so I skim read the book so you don't have to. I was curious about what the MC did that made ML do all this. Everybody's been saying MC raped him when he was young but like i needed more details. OK so back when ML was 14 he fell in love with and confessed to MC. At that time MC would hang around with a gang of friends and kinda bully ppl. After he told MC, MC went into a homophonic craze and basically him and the friends sexually assault/rape ML for months(with MC being the mastermind and instigator). Scenes include ML being locked and tied up in the school bathroom with a vibrator, a senior student opens the door, and the scene fades out. Allusions to videotaping and potentially gang rapes(not completely shown). All under MC orders. The videos are seen by his mother, who has a complete mental breakdown. It changes his whole life.
Also an extremely important detail(which i wish was more elaborated on)is that the author heavily hints that ML was only one of MCs long stream of rape victims. He was only the first MALE victim of MC. MC is actually a serial rapist(aimed usually at women) and ML was just one of them, or the llatest one. This is alluded to when listening to MC thoughts after meeting ML(MC compares ML to previous victims). MC before memory loss is a rich, cocky, influential serial rapist and bully. He was true trash. Now, this completely changed my thoughts on MC tbh. To be blunt, if he hadn't lost his memory, he would truly be a menace to society and a walking danger to others. Its never talked about what happened to his other victims. So does his memory loss absolve him of serial raping minors and instigating others to do the same, then using his money and powers to keep it hush, as well as spreading the videos of his victims? Not rlly tbh. Take this info as usual will
Ok ignoring the current plot this was very good for me and I like it alot. I usually dont like childhood friends to lovers bc the authors hop right into romance and we usually cant even see what type of friendship they had prior. Here, you can see exactly what type of friends they were, and even when they finally date, they are still friends. Like minded childhood, shared hardships, knowing each other others personalities and habits, actually enjoying similar hobbies and even studying together and sharing their dreams and weaknesses. Before they were lovers, Yujae and Hanjun were without doubt best friends, not just bc the author said so, but actually showing it.
The characters were very realistic to me. The struggle with poverty, the pride, the embarrassment, the stress. Esp Hanjun, it rlly affected him and tbh never stopped affecting him. It was literally smth he had lived his whole life with and it showed in his interactions with others, whether he could buy new shoes, even go out to eat, or hand out with friends or join clubs. Reality. But even so, Hanjun was still very kind, a little prideful, but sweet and empathetic. His unrequited love was sad, but i understood why it had to be Yujae for him and why he couldnt give up. I esp liked that even tho he liked Yujae, he did not just let Yujae disrespect him. I dont condone violence, but Yujae would purposefully say hurtful words and Hanjun hit him twice and even threw ballons at him once. He also dares to confront Yujae when he is passivr agressive to him, and questions him about his intentions multiple times when Yujae is being sarcastic. I really liked this. Hanjun liked him, but it wasn't to the extent of lack of self respect. He cursed him out and hit him when he felt disrespected. He didn't just take it and feel sad. He got genuinely angry and he dished it right back. I rlly liked his character.
Now Yujae tbh...I actually liked him even more. This is not to say Yujae is a good person, in fact hes kind of a masters. But damn was his characterization interesting. A popular, charismatic guy that enjoys attention and being admired, but its just to satisfy his vanity. Actually, he likes to toy with others, doesn't care abt human relationships(unless its Hanjun), and is a bit manipulative. I feel like alot of authors who try to go this route dont write it well. But here, even thru Hanjuns pov, or maybe bc of his pov, Yujaes two faced nature is very intriguing. I liked how throughout the story, even when Yujae is angry, he smiles instead. His words become passive aggressive and he consciously puts pressure on others with overly blunt/seemingly kind words. I know ppl that speak like that in real life and tbh its super uncomfortable and it makes it hard to talk back to them. After all, they're smiling in your face, they appear friendly, but actually they're hostile(the scenes with the boy that liked the girl who had a crush on Yujae I liked alot. Yujae rlly dug up a.random memory to make fake friends with him wow) That is Yujae. He tries to put pressure on Hanjun using this throughout the book, but Hanjun knows him and knows hes being like that on purpose. Yujae can treat outsiders like that, but Hanjun knows him too well to let it slide.
Yujaes awakening to his feelings was slow and his mentality seemed confusing, but i liked the slowness and I even liked the reason for rejection at first. For him, his relationship with Hanjun is number 1 priority. As for friends, family, lovers, or even Hanjuns own romantic feelings for him, they are all put on the back burner for the maintenence of the relationship. Growing up in a household where his parents fought and used him as both a tool and collateral, he doesn't believe in romance. In his mind, lovers are temporary. His relationship with Hanjun is forever. So when Hanjun confesses, Yujae tells him to to clear his mind and come to him when he gets over it. This is temporary emotion to Yujae, but their relationship is permanent. He didn't expect that this would lead to Hanjun going no contact and leaving. It never crossed his mind their relatinship could end so easily. Hanjun was basically his whole world. He pays very close attention to Hanjuns family(frequently paying attention to his mother), his friends(he purposefully befriends Hanjuns friends), his hobbies(he joins all things Hanjun likes), and his emotions and health. Even when Hanjun hits him and friends advise him to break contact, Yujae just thinks they're bickering and they'll def make up.
Later, he did all the steps to get back into contact and return to how they once were. Some ppl might not like it but to Yujae their friendship was truly more important than any romance. He asked once did him not wanting to be in a romantic relationship with Hanjun mean that any ties they had and their bond was gone? Could it only be a romantic relationship or they couldn't be in contact anymore? And you know what thats what alot of these unrequited love stories make me question. Hanjuns feelings are valid, but their bond outside love is also valid. Later, Hanjun acknowledges this and says even if they aren't lovers, he cant live without Yujae. I liked this. When Yujae hears this, his attitude does a 180 and he considers them dating. I think this makes sense. Now that he knows he isnt being pressured into dating at risk of going no contact otherwise, that Hanjun does value their bond just like he does, he can calmly consider whether he likes Hanjun back. And he does! He always has tbh, but he needed time to like a guy, like his best friend, and try a romantic relationship he fears is doomed to fail based on his parents marriage.
The dating stage was so nice and watching them get used to each other in a new way was sweet. Also the sex scenes were so good! Hanjun is very fit and they're similar heights, which i rlly like. Yujae is a bit controlling in bed, which is to be expected given his personality. They worry about money, being together forever, living together. Yujaes concerns about keeping freshness(to the point of being celibate and limiting their sex life) are both silly, heartwarming, and sad. He thinks love is limited, so he tries to stretch out their love so it can last as long as possible. Hanjuns personality doesn't magically change when they date. He still tries to live within his means, while also trying to be good to Yujae. This causes him distress sometimes and gets angry sometimes. But now he has someone to share his worries and a vision of a brighter future eith the two of them together. The solution in the military chaoters for him to look at Yujae when talking and state if he is angry I feel is a good solution for Hanjun. He has a tendency to bottle up emotions by himself and then explode, so im glad they're working on that. The relationship between them is so real, so raw, they fight, they hurt each other, but they could never actually seperate for long.
Im looking forward to more chapters and extras. I wonder if this is a novel? I would def read it. 9/10.
