So, I tend to like darker stuff. One of favorite genres is psychological horror like Killing Stalking (I don’t think it was a BL). However, with the hatred towards Joo Jaekyung from Jinx. Now I’m curious, who do you think is a red flag vs a black flag? Jinx to me is similar to Painter of the Night in terms of their tops.
Here’s my standard:
Black flag: Zenya/ceasar/ sangwoo
Red flag: Teaju/seoin/ seungho
Yellow flag: jaekung/jitae/jaeshin
Green flag: Yoonseul/taeho/kwon
Mops: jigu/jeongdo/kurosawa
My red and yellow flags are interchangeable tho.
Okay. This seems reasonable. I see a lot of ppl calling Jaekyung a black flag.
I wonder why ppl disliked this question. Is it because I said JaeKyung and Seungho are similar? They both treated their partners horribly even though it was a transaction (one was a choice and the other wasn’t), things started to change between chapters 65-75, they both have childhood trauma and shitty dads.
Or it bc I said Killing Stalking is not a BL? I mean it could be the question itself. I mean green flags are cute and all, but there’s a reason why the red flags BL are more popular.
i honestly think jaekyung is tameable compared to zhenya. guy crazy as fuck, but considered his line of work i kind of get why he's a black flag.
for me though, a red flag is when the character was horrible with his partner but acceptable with redemption arc (like taeju, seungho and probably jk near future we'll see). and black flag is when you feel there's no point of them being together even with redemption arc– like the character giving out more trauma than loves.
