Yeah, but guess the one thing both situations have in common is that the victim is a man, and that’s the real double standard people keep missing. Because let’s be real, if a woman was being raped and abused by a man under the excuse of “BDSM,” nobody would be saying “just drop it if you can’t handle it” or “you saw the tags before reading.” People would rightfully call it disgusting immediately.
A lot of these excuses just come from people who are comfortable seeing male suffering being trivialized or fetishized, but then turn around and preach about equality and advocacy when the genders are reversed. And that hypocrisy is what makes these discussions frustrating.
People can consume dark fiction if they want, nobody is stopping that. But there’s a huge difference between enjoying problematic fiction and outright defending or justifying rape because “it’s fiction.” Fictional or not, abuse is still abuse, and calling it out shouldn’t suddenly become controversial depending on the victim’s gender

I never said it is wrong to call it rape, this story for sure contains rape and abuse. I never deny that. Else i would be commenting on every criticsm comment on this chapter.
