Lol basically conan and kaito kid are rivals because kaito is a phantom thief and conan is a detective and in this dj it seems like kaito forgot that conan is shinichi

Conan is the child, and in the show , shinchi was poisoned and he was turned into a child , edogawa conan , hence what the entire show is revolving around. It’s a painfiul thing for shinchi since he doesn’t want to be conan anymore but also it’s a part of himself he can’t erase. And kaito also has an alternate personal , kaitokid , in canon they are rivals and don’t know their civillian identities so, there is a plot where they try to figure out each other’s identity.
I think you should give detective Conan a try , it’s pretty good , a classic if you will.
