This is the kind of story that quietly raises your standards. Now everything else I pick up has to compete with it for now.
Just finished reading chapter 138, and this is starting to become unnecessarily complicated. The author needs to understand that the story has to fucking end. Make some happy or sad side stories, I don't know, but this constant dragging is completely ruining it. I get the feeling they just don't want to let the story end, so they keep throwing in absurd plot twists that make absolutely no fucking sense. Like???? I'm probably this mad because I was genuinely enjoying this series before it started to feel like a desperate attempt to keep it alive instead of letting it end naturally. Not every story needs to go on forever. Sometimes the best ending is simply knowing when to stop.
That said, I kinda started even pitying Ilay wtf. The author made us forgive him just to fucking torture us after.
When I feel like the story is being dragged on I simply stop reading because reading is actually completely optional and a personal choice. Hope that helps.
