Thats what its too long, and i was planning on trying for the novel if its interesting so i tried to read every line so i wont get confused while reading the novel but meh its too long

Because it’s a person you want to love you back vs a stranger claiming to be your father. I’d pick the devil I know too. Also yes they mistreated her but isn’t this an isekai? She’s not Camilla. So SHE wasn’t mistreated. She does have memories and stuff but it’s different. But even if that wasn’t the case, an adopted child yearns for the love of the parent they know more so than their biological ones so it makes sense she will prioritise the one that raised her.

Well, they aren't the one who killed her but the previous Camilla. She knew her current family than a man who suddenly claimed as her biological dad. This new dad just happened to know of her as his product of his missing memory. And she knew how he treated his little son over there, he is not someone any better than the white hair duke of the past. So I understand if she wanted the father she grew up with and tried to win him over than to a man that didn't even her on the LIVES SHE WATCHED OVER AND OVER.

Oh be for real how is he not any better than someone whom killed her ??? Even if she wasn't that technically died but that mean he wasn't also the one whom got forgotten by her bio father?? Just because someone feels sorry because camilia has "changed " the doesn't justify their previous actions

Not a single person is justifying his past actions though? We are explaining the plot to you. You must be one of those people who prioritise birth parents than the parents who raised the child. Let me just let you know that the vast majority of people would prefer the people who raised them over the people who “abandoned” them. He has a very valid reason for it but that doesn’t change the fact that she was abandoned and adopted which btw probably saved her life as well as her brothers. Her dad isn’t a perfect guy and he might not even be a good dad but he is putting in the effort now and “better late than never” is a thing. It’s also not for you to say how a character or a person feels about their situation. SHE (the affected party) PREFERS her adoptive father to the stranger who claimed to be her bio dad. Especially when you consider that when he went back home, he didn’t even bother to figure out what happened during the year he lost memories of. Who would want to call someone like that their dad? I know I wouldn’t. Most people wouldn’t. And once again, she isn’t camille so all the feelings she has is superficial about the two of them anyway. She only knew of the adoptive dad who loves and cares for her. You’re getting pressed over the entirely wrong thing. It’s one thing to feel annoyed that he essentially had no consequences for his past actions but it’s another to ignore her wishes. She doesn’t owe anyone anything. She doesn’t owe any parent anything just the same way ALL children don’t owe their parents anything. She doesn’t owe ANYONE any politeness or kindness or love. That’s not her job nor her responsibility. If you truly believe that all children have a duty to love and respect and be kind to their parents, you clearly haven’t lived in this world long enough or experienced enough of life. It’s naive to have that line of thinking and it’s dismissive to the wishes of the child.

Babe I said “raise” not “treat kindly”. Those are two different things. Don’t use words interchangeably. Words have meanings for a reason. They gave her food and shelter, bought her clothes, she had access to clean water and a bath, she was under their protection and financial support. Yes, they treated her awfully but she was still “raised”. Neglectful raising is still raising. Give credit where credit is due. She wasn’t emancipated, she wasn’t disowned or kicked out on the street. She was raised. She had a legal guardian. You can bitch and moan about how she was brought up but the fact she was brought up still remains. And like I said, the person they need to grovel to is dead and the person who took Camilla’s place is a completely new person who only knew them as people who care for her. These are two completely separate people with two completely separate experiences. We ALL feel bad for the Camilla who died never knowing familial love but the Camilla we have now ONLY knows of familial love. You’re completely disregarding everything she’s experienced since she came to this world. If you wanna be delulu and pretend that the plot doesn’t exist just so you can continue to hate on her family, do it on your own time. We who are reading and enjoying this story will continue to accept the plot for all it is (faults and all) because we like this story. None of us are happy with the past actions of the family but the past is the past and Camilla doesn’t even remember what happened because she wasn’t in this universe at the time. All she knows is what the body remembers and that’s not HER memories. We support Camilla as she is NOW. Not who we wish she would be.
