the quality difference between S1 writing and S2 is so striking. in S1 there is a lottt of risk and tension i remember it always put me on edge. both has so much to lose, the angst always lingers. S2, there’s no risk whatsoever. no conflict between the two main cast, only exterior problem that just doesn’t seems urgent enough. it needs more yearning, more angst. is this what happened in the novel? i feel like the phasing is the problem and it could be just a webtoon problem not the novel/story.
does this webtoon truly doesn’t have an official translation? this seems like right up lezhin’s alley. hopefully they make it uncensored too

i always have faith in this webtoon. the terrible date request is like when hayden ask brett to say “i love you” and brett hesitate, it gives hayden hope. hayden can’t even pretend to not care and not show his true feeling when he is around brett on that date, which gave brett hope. i genuinely don’t get the low rating this one it is such a breath of fresh air
i think he really, really like jo so much that he knew choosing him would be robbing him of his future and safety. choosing jo would be the selfish decision for him. a new start, but that would mean tainted him with his past. as it already happened, especially even if they move faraway jo’s family is still within reach of the gang. seeing how much jo would do for him (which in other case would be a good thing. but jo wouldn’t hesitate to kill for shinwoo and that scared the shit out of him) he will always think about it in the back of his mind if they got together.

im a theatre kid and this webtoon, although the story and chemistry is really good so far, really got me going with how bad the theatre knowledge that the creator has. there is no such thing as “lighting major”, that’s just plain silly. this should be an art school whee he majors in theatre/fine arts. and being a lighting tech as a dream is very… niche. i want to see more of his creative side where he actually design and craft the lighting part of a production, since being a lighting tech doesn’t just mean you push some buttons and be done with. that’s just a really silly dream.

I don't know much about the theatre industry or theatre programs around the world but I thought this was an interesting comment so I did a quick Google search and it looks like South Korean arts universities actually DO have specific theatre programs/majors like Stage Direction that focus on things like lighting etc. (one of the schools I saw was Sungkyunkwan University if you want to check my work lol). I assume it's different in the country you live—it definitely is in mine—but I fell down an interesting internet rabbit hole thanks to your comment and wanted to share!
This was a good reminder for me to keep in mind that these webtoons are created by KOREAN artists and take place in KOREA, and the way of life we're used to (wherever we are) is not universal! (⌒▽⌒)
Also, something about your comment was funny to me because as an introverted artist it's wayyyy easier for me to imagine wanting to become a lighting tech than wanting to be an actor on stage lol
yes you are right it IS under another major like performance art and/or stage design but it is not an independent degree program. idk if it’s a mistranslation but you don’t call yourself a “lighting major student”. he is performance art or stage design student. hence why i want to see him talking with other department. lighting, sound, stage design NEVER works alone. i have yet to see the director of the theatre itself, which is someone who always present when they have discussion.
i completely understand the mc being an introvert. im an artist too. so i am pretty knowledgeable when it comes to this topic (based on experience) and if you are an introvert who hates talking to people, being in a theatre production is NOT the right move even if you are not on the stage. your job is always to communicate, to create and to brainstorm with every department involved and even until the show start you will be hearing all the commands from the director on your headpiece. it is a tiring job that requires team work and constant communication and all i wish is to see more of accurate representation of a theatre production because fun fact, i used to handled lighting on a small theatre production hence why the inaccuracies are really scratching me in the wrong places.
also i totally get it this is fiction or whatever but honestly the more a story have more accuracy it shows how much knowledge or research the author does. which is s problem to most webtoons. (and that’s why i love no morals so much). this is just me nitpicking if you like it as it is the good for you ig
also stage design major doesn’t only focus on lighting. it is certainly one of the concentration but there’s a LOT of stuff that goes into a stage design like i said previously. lighting, sound, costume design, props, etc.
