there’s an increasing trend of webtoon sequels that usually revolve around family member or friends of the main character from the original webtoon getting their own story. my biggest beef with them is that they are created by a different artist, and they certainly have different artstyle that sometimes it’s difficult to pin in my mind that this character is the same characters from the og. like i can’t see this character as the same one from the og (for example like in passion: raga). it creates a bridge and sometimes confuses me when they make references to the original story. perhaps this is just a skill issue on my part and i hope we can stop this MCU type ah webtoon and starts writing one that’s actually good.
second of all, grayson was painted as an awful human being in kiss me if you can. chase was scared of this man and i grew a hatred for him. and ofc when he got his own story, the author will pain his problems, his detachment, his problematic behaviour, his “idk im different than others” by making him neurodivergent WITHOUT spelling it out out because that would require them to potray them responsibly. they would of course, blame it on “aww he grew up rich but his daddy is being a meany towards him of course he would not understand how emotion works :(“. that could not made me despise the whole entire concept of grayson miller more.
on a positive note, i love dane. so much. an omega with buffy appearance, funny unironically, he has gorgeous melanin as well. the fireman squad were funny too, they all have pretty good personality for NPC’s in yaoi story. but i can’t say i’m excited to see these two get together. and it pisses me off because it had somewhat a potential. i just hate how grayson is written. i also lowkey hate his art design.

really great story with fresh plot. when an emotionless killer fell in love with an actor who always plays a lover guy in romance movies. first of all big, strong uke with soft seme (but still bigger and taller!) def a spicy shounen since there’s no explicit scene but still enjoyable!!

i fw this HEAVY. step brothers, forbidden and secret relationship, just two people falling in love in the wrong time and place. it’s exhilarating because you are afraid FOR them that they might get caught. slow burn but not dragging too much. love it

i don’t like how this is written. my fault as well for reading this after reading dreaming of dokkaebi and that other one. those are such bangers yaoi revolving around ghost, exorcist, underworld being. this one is just soooo much yapping, tell no show, weak world building and just not a great read overall.

we all know jin has high functional autism (even tho still not a great portrayal of it but it’s on a decent side since the bar is in hell) but i have a feeling the story won’t acknowledge that he is because that would require a responsibility for portraying them correctly, which in this story he is still a very “fictional romance” autistic.

what a great love story, tackling complex moral dilema with great twist, art, message, action, smexy scene. literally everything. we rarely get this type of webtoon. following two couple and both got as heavy and as complex story AND connected. best to binge read so it will be less confusing bcs the plot is plotting. what a treat.
