Despite the fact that the “fan service” is weird and gets out of hand at times, I honestly had to stick with this story bc the character dynamics have this shounen-like writing style. A lot of BL characters nowadays feel super generic regardless of the plot, but this story actually has good and interesting characterization of the MCs and side characters. It kinda reminds me of the feeling I get when I see a really good bromance in a shounen work that everyone wishes was canon, except in this case it’s actually BL.
Same LMAO the art can be so corny (their size difference is hydrogen bomb vs. coughing baby like get serious what) but I’ve been loyal for 88 chapters because of the pacing and slow burn T-T
this story always gets you where it hurts.. so wonderfully done. I'll never get over how being nonhuman is used as symbolism for what it feels like to be queer and how that theme is subtly present throughout the entire series

Oh I really like this because it doesn't go with the sensationalized stereotype of a "sociopath" being someone who is cruel and has no emotions. The development was good too, and I really like the characters.

I've noticed that too. Tons of manhwa rated 9.1-9.2 is the same quality (if not worse) than manga with the same tropes rated 8.8-8.9. I think it's because more manhwa readers only rate something if they like it
Yeah, I don’t get it. I miss the days when manga were more popular and anything over an 8 was considered great. Lots of people are missing out on great stories because they refuse to read anything rated lower than a 9.
Yeah and a lot of brand new stuff immediately gets condemned to this hell after a single person rates it a ≤3/5 and tanks the rating. I've found so many gems with low ratings and less than 50 rating total
