Totally agreed. From the beginning, he doesn't look like a person who got reincarnated for the 100th times. You’re right about Gaiona being stupid. His punishments are indefinite or endless, that really is worse than death since his children are forced to reincarnate and pay for the crime again and again. But, Abel is tied in with the punishment as much as anyone else he’s just never explicitly told about what’s going on.
*originally he was Zenos/Aisha’s child that I guess was suffering from something like a terminal illness or excruciating pain, so she decided rather then watch him suffer to mercy kill him. Her punishment is to have to put him to death, nothing else can kill him (indestructible) until she does, also I guess other children start dying the longer he lives. At least, that’s what happened in their past lives. Altheus desperate wanted to be a family with them, so in this life he looks like him.
