I'm seeing many comments praising him for the way he took care of her when she was at her lowest point during her depression.
You're gravely mistaken if you think making food for someone and telling them to "get over it" when they have trauma is a good way of helping them.
Of course he is kind in the way he DOES things for her, but he is not supporting her or helping her get better. The most basic thing to do is tell her that she needs help (like a psychologist you know...) and that's something that is really weird even in the present, acting like she'll heal on her own. Like of course you can get better alone, but how is she supposed to heal from her depression long term without any help ?
When you're depressed, you need support not only materially but emotionnaly and mentally. He only did the first ans still continues to do so in the present (even if it seems like he is a little more emotionally present now).

I read everywhere that this one was good but omg I didn't expect this.
SPOILERS : identity of the ML, FL's actions in the first few chapters.
I had a very strong second male lead syndrome at the beginning and the moment it became obvious that Ethan was the male lead I became overjoyed. Even at the beginning, I was surprised to see that the author didn't make her to be righteous. Let me explain : she tried to be good by not doing anything that was not expected of her, she didn't follow morals but expectations, and THIS is why this story is so good, because how would she know the difference between goodness and obedience ?
END of SPOILERS
Seeing her evolve throughout the story was not only touching but also realistic.
This is a story of redemption, of second chances, and of love. Every romantasy enjoyer should read it ! (Also it kinda is what "I will be the queen in this life" whishes it was imo...)
