Hmm. No I wasn't. I actually had a friend whose brother was gay and then I found out my childhood friend was gay (bi). This was all in my middle school year and that was way before I even started reading manga (including yaoi) which started in high school. So I was cool with gay couples and hanging out with them. Although I like the artwork of both I prefer manga because I started with it first and I know which direction I'm reading.
