God, why is she so frustrating? I get that she was socially isolated but if someone keeps being online for years they usually adopt alrer ego ,internet personality. But she's so stiff and awkward.
GIRL, as someone who got insulated because of covid i feel like i got hit by ur comment, dang. my extrovert side totally vanished and i'm having a hard time having friend irl because i'm "stiff and awkward", u can't just change immediately and suddenly become friendly because u adopt ur internet persona.
( i have friends online tho but making friend irl is like the difficult challenge) ՞߹ - ߹՞
Hey..... You're also generalizing her situation with 'if someone,' when her circumstances are specific to her own story. Just because a pattern exists for some isolated people doesn't mean it applies universally. Just like our girl fl, she experience shits in real world, her cureent family resents her existence plus her former friends and schoolmates and classmates are expecting big from her but never asking how she is feeling, and you expect her to be outgoing to everyone? she already overthinks her interaction on internet, how come the social interaction in real world. Naturally her awkwardness is given, so is stiffness. Different people adapt to isolation differently. So, my solution for you is to drop this if this does not fit or it triggers something within you.
I understand what you all is saying, but she knows that she is making the situation worse and she realizes that but she keeps on doing it. The reason I feel so frustrated is because I also have a friend like that. She doesn't speak up for herself. And it feels so frustrating to see a character that resembles my close friend. Even if I try to offer a help, she doesn't take it, but after she would feel jealous or mad at people who got the opportunity that she failed to pursue. I know their situation is not the same but the slight similarity frustrates me.
Yes yes, your frustration is understandable, but I think you're judging the character based on what you want people to do rather than what people actually do. In fiction, we often expect characters to recognize a problem and overcome it quickly. In reality, people can be fully aware of their shortcomings and still repeat the same mistakes for years. That's frustrating, but it's also very human. Our FL is struggling to find where she belongs. She's carrying anxiety about her future while dealing with a mother, a brother, and an environment that place expectations on her rather than guide her. We also don't know everything that happened in her past that led her to fear the future so much. There may be experiences we haven't seen yet that shaped the way she thinks and acts. Those factors can make it difficult for someone to take action, even when they know what they should do..... That's why I don't see the character's behavior as unrealistic or frustrating if anything in the webtoon, it's a reflection of how complicated people can be. She's one of the people I see that needed to be given a presence; that you're here for them, not for their decisions in life, they may be mad or jealous of not doing the right choices, it's their nature of coping :) It's simple to be humble and understanding and be sensitive to be with the people dealing those similar outcomes.
What chapter is it in the novel?
chapter 11 in my version (=・ω・=)

Why is she so dead set on believing that it's romance Novel. She doesn't have any clue if it's a novel or a parallel universe or a different world or something. in what kind of romance fantasy world would there be so many murders and so many suicides and so many creepy things happening. And why would she draw that summoning spell without even knowing what it summons. and why couldn't she get a clue at the orphanage? The director had the same summoning spell drawn on the floor and she was trying to feed kids to whatever the creature that she summoned in exchange of a wish. That's a huge ass red flag right there , like girl take a hint. You have eyes and a brain. Also, why would she rip off a page of her mother cursing out her father and sent it along with a letter to her dad, like what was that supposed to achieve? It just makes you look so fucking creepy.
Seriously, did she leave her brain and her intuition behind when she possesed the body(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
I think it's bc she tryna cope with generally the fact that this world is fake. I don't think she wanna believe this world is real so believing it is like a stereotypical fantasy novel is comforting to her. Bc in the few parts of her thinking about her parents and then realizing the characters are not just characters but people and are complicated disturb her. She didn't wanna think too deeply about her parents or how she even got here, she cut herself off before it got depressing right? Then she got disturbed bc she realized the ML was confessing his love but had like bigger emotions she would want to see in a "character", making him feel real to her. I think it kinda makes sense.
It probably doesn’t help that she physically can’t see certain things, like how she can’t read some documents. So whatever’s going on with her is trying to keep her from actually knowing what’s going on.
its pretty much the same premise with "im not the demon god's lackey" he thinks he's a measly librarian or like haruhi suzumiya, a clueless girl but actually a reality bending god
they have someone keeping them from learning the truth and/or actually just clueless
