Tbh… I was contemplating whether to read this or not after seeing bad reviews in the comment section + low ratings, but I’m glad I did read it!!! I think it’s really worth reading as it’s sooo enjoyable. I don’t understand why people think the characters were stagnant or the story was anti-climactic. At the end of the story, the characters changed for the better and they turned out to be lovable characters tbh.
I don’t get why people hate the pedophile shit arc something??? I mean I know it’s disturbing af but people need to realize that a lot of young queers have encounters w pedos since they’re much more vulnerable. People who hate on Sunghee for defending the pedo at first must not realize that he is a TEENAGER. He spent most of his time alone since his family treats him like an outcast and he has no friends. Having someone who understands you and your situation after being alone for many years is something anyone would love to have. He felt comfort and warmth in the wrong person,
Overall, I like Sunghee as a chracter. He’s not a perfect main character but what makes him likeable is that he’s such a realistic character. Some of his experiences hit close to home :((
Seungtak & Kyubin were also very cute :(( I really enjoyed their story!! ++ Inbeom??? He kinda gets on my nerves at times but aaaah I like him!! Sungyeok, on the other hand, is also kinda annoying and sus at first BUT AFTER HEARING HIS SIDE ++ HIM BEING SO VOCAL ABOUT HIS FEELINGS??? Damn, I really love him. Can’t say anything anymore, but just I love the ending and I’m really satisfied with it
Hands down… this is really the best bl manhua I’ve read. The emotions are so… raw and real. I could relate to every single one of the characters. This made me cry REAL BAD. As a queer myself, I can say that pretty much, if not all, most queers could relate to Huan Wen and Yu Yang. I can say that I relate to the latter. We couldn’t bring ourselves to be out because we didn’t want to destroy the ‘peace’ we have with our family. It’s so fucking suffocating. It’s just so… tiring, but we couldn’t just risk it. Huan Wen’s scene when he attended the blind date made me cry so bad. It’s easier to tell a stranger about yourself than telling to people you know. It’s so fucking scary. I’m just so happy for him that he was able to be himself in the end :)
As for Yu Yang,,, his trauma is so fucking relatable. No matter how much we say that we’re used to the discrimination and hatred thrown our faces, it still hurts. God, I felt that scene when he shouted his feelings. I’m just glad Li Huan is there for him :)
This manhua is just too great.. This deserves the hype it gets. Kudos to the author!
I could never bring myself to finish this manhwa. First season is okay. The couple is cute and all. I just wished that they ended the story there.
For the second couple, I’m actually disgusted. Seme literally raped the uke. Fucked him while he’s asleep??? Wtf
Third couple, oh god dont get me started. Seme is a rapist and an abuser. Didn’t finish it because I’m cery disgusted by him.
Overall if u wanna read some fluffy shit, just read the first season.
I genuinely think from a reading stand point the other 2 couples are like idk fresh if you want to read something new than it's a good read and both of them did end up changing for the better so :/
