idk if it’s just me but… i’m so over adult fls reincarnating as children or possessing a child’s body. there was definitely a time where this was a new concept, but at this point, it just seems like lazy writing to me. plus, a lot of the time they aren’t able to make the relationship between an adult fl with a child’s body and a literal child ml make sense. often, it becomes weird and unsettling if you really think about it and ignore the fl acting like a child. i’m actually convinced, with how similar the plots of these types of manhwas are, that there’s just a factory mass-producing them for fast public consumption like a fast fashion version
and also, i know a lot of times they have a backstory that “justifies” it, but i’m also tired of the nihilistic almost cynical, and sarcastic child fl archetye (e.g., mabel in baby tyrant, arelyn in arelyn is sick and tired, just to name a few)… it makes it hard for me to empathize with and root for the fl. i don’t know if it’s the same for this fl, i just looked at the first chapter and the plot has blurred with the hundred other manwhas of the same plot. idk if it’s the same for the fl of this story, i only looked at the first chapter, and the plot already blurred together with the hundred other manhwas that have the exact same premise.
anyway, maybe i just need to log off
I’ve reread the novel for this no less than 5x. I really like the novel and it’s a relatively light/slice of life-y read compared to other chinese novels.
But is it just me? I want to hear the others’ opinions on this. I’ve also always thought that fl and ml doesn’t have the greatest chemistry. Don’t get me wrong, they’re cute together but I’ve always felt that there’s something lacking in their relationship. In fact, I felt like Feilu has better chemistry with Xi Xingjiang. Maybe because ml doesn’t have a lot of screen time in the beginning of the story, and the fact that the novel (at least in the beginning) isn’t really centered on romance? I’m curious if I’m the only who feels this way. What do you guys think?
As someone who has read the novel for this… about 10x, I’m reluctant to read the manhua as it might not do the novel justice. Ofc this story isn’t perfect, but the novel has such an endearing quality to it. Her hair in the manhua alone is different from the novel which has a green tinge bc it has to do with her origin and her bio mom. But in here, it’s cotton candy pink/blue, idk how they’re gonna explain it.
just came across this story, never read it. i was reading the comments and saw everyone hating on her hair… i was like, “how bad can her hair be??” so i opened a random chapter and oh…
it’s BAD lmaooo
(no hate. the hairstyle just really reminds me of the stereotypical character design of vain, overly pompous, and histrionic villainesses like the stepsisters in cinderella)

How is fl gonna come back alive? Please tell me she’ll have another body and confront the real princess. Idc if she looks exactly the same (but i prefer not), I need everyone to know that she’s an entirely different person
Just search because it has a lot of novel spoilers you can find
