I will see this through till the very end unless I die first...but I miss what it originally was. The earlier cases felt darker and not just because of the art (which is more childish now) but the crimes felt more intriguing and more complex.
In the anime, I love the first 200 episodes or so the most. There are some honorable mentions later on like episode 345 (showdown with Vermouth) and 490-500 or so (clash with the black organisation involving Akai Shuichi) and the clash with Bourbon where Akai is revived but they are few and far in between....
I get that you cannot expect a manga/anime to run for nearly 40 years and maintain the same momentum but I'm just too nostalgic for what this was
Honestly, the only reason for me to continue reading the story is to finally see Ran and Shinichi together and put an end to the couples' ship wars. In the end, it's scary the ships that are made and sad seeing people creating expectations where there is no room for it.
I love detective Conan, but I loved it even more at the beginning, it was a different kind of nostalgia and honestly at this point in the championship the work was supposed to have already finished and we were enjoying parallel stories with them all happy and with the black organization defeated but whenever it seems like the story is going to move forward it goes back 100 chapters it's like watching 10 episodes of One piece just for Luffy to finish a staircase and face the villain there are more chapters of Conan with the mini detectives than him discovering something about the black organization
I feel like the cases lately feel choppy? I'm glad the tricks are finally different but lately it's starting to remind me more of the anime filler episodes because each case don't flow as well between each
I didn't expect Jinpei and Chihaya to have been dating before he died. No wonder Chihaya keeps diverting/rejecting away from Juzo's affection/confession. It's hard to move on from someone whom you loved's death. But I hope Juzo all the best!
Also, Gosho should seriously make Momiji focus on something else. Having a girl as smart as her care so much for a guy to the point of 'stealing' someone's boyfriend is not a good look at all.
Oh i agree. Momiji is smart and rich as hell, but her character reduced to 'the other girl' for kazuha. Or should i say that is her only personality since the start of her appearance? Gosho should've write better for her
Did they ended up together? I thought it was more of a he liked her and wanted to go out with her but she didn't say yes, and something in between, because i could've sworn there was a text of him asking miwako out

Not yet I think, there is official art matched together as a couple but you can never be too sure of their intentions. I think Gosho is trying to draw them following the trope of moving on from a tragic lover but we can only wait :")

Don't know why the kept the English names. What's wrong with Shinichi and company?
I usually wait for fans scanlations and read at manga dex

R.I.P. to Ran's voice actor
So sad.
How did they know Chiba would get it? I don't think it's shown that Chiba is knowledgeable in tricks.

I just realized I never finished my sentence lol. I meant to end it with "each cases don't flow as well between each case chapters."
So many couples in one scene and yet I only heard Miwako on the phone? Damn they better have another story for her and Takagi. Not enough (●'◡'●)ノ
A normal mystery escape room would have been plenty interesting and a nice breather from all the murder cases.
bro i still can't move on about junpei.. ╥﹏╥
