I watched movie when I was 13 years ago years ago now I m adult i read manga i realised seme is very complicated and straightforward except he took his time to decide on his own feelings movie is also good i remember it vaguely cuz it's been years but I think seme's father is literally a type of father any person want and I hate his mother she is just bitch cheated on her husband then she meddles in her son's affair anyway i love how people around them are understanding especially seme's close friend pretty easy guy i read it finally. Worth it.
The character are not the sort I'd root for. They don't have that chemistry. Shousei is prideful, manipulative, and aggressive. Keisuke just rode the tides without any conviction about what he really wants (that's boring in fiction). The way Keisuke handled that Yoshi guy is disappointing as well. I thought he was going to be more assertive for his feeling because he confessed to Shousei, but instead, he let himself be dragged by Yoshi instead of properly rejecting him. What's with that?
The only time I do see character growth was when the mother butted it. And what? That's like after 2 volumes of exhausting bullying and timidness. I'm just grateful that we see some growth and commitment in the 3rd volume compared to the 1st and 2nd. There's depth, immersive drama, and cohesive intentions in the last volume which compensates for the eaelier volumes.
I'm just actually more relief I'm done reading this and things worked out.
This manga is real good, and i can't stand some people complaining for what makes it unique. Yeah, the seme wasn't sure what he wanted from the begining because he's not your perfect prince, totally predictable, totally unimaginative and unrealistic. Can't believe you keep asking for the same boring plot over and over and over, can't u appreciate a little range once in a while?? God..
thank you! i was wondering whether to read it or not because of the comments. and i really love the mangaka's works and writing style. i have read Dear green and i absolutely loved it.
Lol I like how realistic the seme is in this story. He is not soft boy or a caring person in general. The author portraits him as he is : a child with too much pride. He get jealous easily and is exactly the pushy type. But in crucial moment, he is honest and straightforward. He didn't hesitate to deal with his family, come out with his best friend, and talk things out with the uke. He is not perfect, and sometimes can be a jerk. But yeah, those things make him different from other semes. I'm tired of those handsome, perfect seme in other yaois, with no character depth and development.
If you really like slice of life story, I recommend this.
Um, I don't really understand the rating. I realize this is a longer manga that places emphasis on character development, but it really doesn't change how much of a shithead the seme is in the beginning. So, far (and I'm only on ch. 4), the seme realized in high school that the uke liked him, and told him that he was leaving, but didn't get the reaction he wanted from him. First of all, one of my biggest pet peeves are semes (sometimes ukes) that are confident that the other party likes them and is angry that they won't make a move, but also refuse to make a move on their own side. It's the other party's fucking choice, so you can make yours or leave. Some people don't have that fearlessness or upfront-ness. And, how could the seme even have the audacity to *want* a sign from the uke when he had a whole fucking girlfriend. Then, they meet again, and he for some reason decides to "out" the uke's feelings for him, even though he claims not to have feelings for the uke. His only reason in doing that was to manipulate the uke into sleeping with him, and uses that to make sure the uke doesn't refuse him. So he's basically saying, "Since you like me, you should be grateful that I'm bestowing my dick upon you."
Then, he just happens to find the uke, the guy he fucks whenever he feels like it, chatting with an ex-turned-trusted-friend and decides to jealousy-rape him. HE SAID HE'S NOT IN THE FUCKING MOOD. And its hilarious once again, considering he has no claim to the uke or the uke's feelings. Oh,and of course he also implies that the uke is a slut because he's getting work from an ex. The friend/ex guy was right when he wondered what the uke sees in him.
The uke has bad taste. He said he "fell for him again" after their re-encounter....but there was nothing to fall for????? It's just a douchebag who wants to use your feelings for them to get laid and satisfy his own ego??? Idgaf if it turns out the seme actually loovvveeedd him all along and was just jealous or some shit, he's trash. I understand that there's going to be character development in later chapters, but there are some people not worth "developing" - kinda like pedophile rapists "finding God" after their imprisoned. Harsh example, but every aspect of this seme irks me and my self-respect, and it makes me sad because he's not treating the uke with the dignity deserving of a human being. He empties all of his childish bullshit on the uke without caring how it affects him. Imo, he can go to hell.

This was pretty boring for me. Probably because the pace is way too slow and all the sweet moments are just cramped together at the end.
