I see a lot of people bashing you for confusing fiction with reality but if I got your point right, that is not what you are doing it. What I understand you point as problematic is how some people deny that it's rape what they are reading.

Learn to separate fiction from reality. Rape is bad in real life, we all know that. But that doesn't mean fantasies about it are also bad. There are people that actually enjoy rape play, but would never actually rape someone that's unwilling. 5 reply
I agree it's a concern, and a very valid one. A lot of the time I just won't read the comments, even though rape and dub-con are kinks of mine. It does bother me when people defend it as if it was good or romantic, rather than just admit, "That was hot/well-written/evocative, even if it's messed up."

You are quite right about that. What scares me the most is the extent to which they'd go in order to defend it. I can take the whole ' its fiction' (even though that can still be a lousy excuse which can have real, deeper consequences in the world), but then they're like "oh but they fell in love in the end" or "it didn't really look like he hated ...... 2 reply
