I've had them done twice, because after they heal up, my body keeps overhealing and rejecting them, haha! It's not common, though, so don't worry too much about the possibility.
Definitely as the others have said, get them done by a professional. This will greatly lessen the chance that they'll heal improperly. Unless you scar an abnormal amount ...... reply
ive had mine for almost 2 years now, if im being honest the pain wasnt bad at all for me it was SUPER quick. The aftercare though, like don't wear a bra bra for like 2 weeks but mine kept bleeding due to pressure, and even after 2 years i randomly find it getting keloids like bumps and im constantly usig saline to care for it. for it to fully kinda...... reply
If you want them go for it! The healing process depends on you and your aftercare. The main thing you want to do is look for a qualified piercer who will help you know what to expect and tell you what the best course for aftercare is.

I got them done whilst i was on holiday they dont hurt when ur getting them done but they do hurt afterwards i plan on getting my nose pierced and more ear piercings hopefully. reply
When I was stressed out in middle school, I wanted to distract myself so I pierced my ears using a safety pin. It hurt like hell. I have both nostrils pierced and my septum! The longer I anticipated it, the more it hurt it seems. The first nostril and the septum piercings were probably around a 2/10 since I got them done without planning or thinking too much about it, but my other nostril was maybe a 4 since I was waiting to get it done. Well, depends where, and who's piercing you, and the methods they use. Piercing guns hurt like a mother fucker, i pushed a sewing needle through my ear and it hurt less than that shit (dont recommend).
