Hi! In a word, no it's not (healthy) - I won't say what is or isn't normal but it definitely isn't something we should be thinking about on the level you seem to be. As someone who has been there though, I can tell you that it takes far more courage to live on and try to get better! I wanted to talk to you because now I am a lot better I look bac......   reply

As long as you aren't being disrespectful to people in real life, it's fine. And also, if you are straight girl and uncomfortable around lesbians, bisexuals, or trans people then yeah, I think it's a disrespectful to the LGBT community as a whole and festishizing. (As a lesbian, I've seen too many straight girls do this shit. So annoying) However, ......   reply

What? I read whatever types of genre as long as the story and characters interest me. Whether I'm straight or not it doesn't really matter! And shipping people in real life is not my thing. Though it makes me happy knowing someone finally found truly special and treasures them. But I just leave them with their business and I focus on mine   reply

I'm not even going to go into the MANY reasons why anyone has the right to appreciate any art - because of obvious reasons - it's ART! If you're not hurting anybody, there's no problem! I for one started to read Yaoi because of the lack of decent love stories in Shojo Manga, it has NOTHING to do with it being two men specifically - men tend to be......   3 reply

I don’t really think it is, at least not on in this intensity. Maybe it would be better to talk about this with someone, doesn’t have to be a psychologist ( even tho it’s better to have an expert’s opinion), but it could get better, I’m also here if you prefer to be with someone who doesn’t know you Hope things get better there   1 reply

So I am a straight guy and I think yaoi is pretty alright. Yeah the intimate scenes make me uncomfortable sometimes, but it's alright considering this is only fiction and there are many Yaoi Manga/Manhwa/Manhuas that's all about drama. But I do majorly read it for the non-cliche storyline unlike many Shoujo's. (And yes I do read Shoujo. I ready eve......   11 reply

you can read yaoi and whatever bl doujinshi you want. most yaoi is written by straight women anyways. it’s perfectly fine as long as you don’t fetishize/objectify gay people in real life. like, speculating whether real people are gay or fitting gay couples into heteronormative/fetishized roles. for example: don’t ask couples who’s the man......   reply

I used to hate yaoi because I thought it's all about sex. But then when I try reading it, it actually have a pretty good plot (well, some) which makes me hooked. I actually learn a lot too, like the prejudices towards them, how the society perceived them, their struggles, things we can do to make them feel accepted and etc. Yes, there are people ......   1 reply

i think it's important to differentiate between fiction and real life, and yaoi is definitely not real. I mean, those yaoi plots can mostly only happen in the fictional world, it would not do to compare it to real world. I read yaoi since for me, it's just like shoujo but with same-sex couple. Imo, as long as you're not doing any harm to anybody a......   reply
