I absolutely dislike when people say "it's just fiction. I don't believe rape should be done in real life" BUT LIKE, IT SHOULDN'T BE DONE IN FICTION EITHER. I can see were both sides are coming from. Yes it is fiction and most things depicted have not happened in real life, but fiction can in some ways affect reality. YES! It (it referring to yaoi/BL/shounen-ai) may be fictional but a lot of it's contents are actually based on reality, if people haven't noticed. There's so much reference to reality.
