I'm actually a lesbian. I discovered yaoi at a time where I was at war with my identity and didn't want to accept that I liked girls, so I started reading yaoi as sort of confirmation that I did in fact like men. most of BL stories have simple and stupid plots or sometimes no plot at all, so I find that easy to digest. I'm suck at reading actual good thick plotted romance stories. A little bit of second hand embarrassment and angst will already stress me tf out.   reply
