You can be a teacher, but you might face problems getting into schools that are conservative being trans, but since you're in a blue state it probably won't be too bad. I'd say though, when you're teaching, not to make being trans your whole identity. It's not your students business and they don't come to class to learn about your life and your man......   reply

I know my experiences are likely very skewed when compared to many other places but one of my HS math teachers is a trans man—everyone absolutely loves him. He is involved in LGBTQ+ clubs in school and has super wholesome pictures of students from pride parades on the walls!
