Personally, I usually prefer Japanese manga. I find that I'm less likely to start, and far more likely to drop webtoons. There are positives and negatives to webtoons compared to manga that are actually kind of related. I understand how you feel. I affect my parents the most. I feel very emotionally detatched-sometimes even disgusted. I can't look at my mom without feeling empty. She tells me how hurt she is by this, but I can't fake a smile (seriously, people tell me).

In general, I prefer Japanese manga. They usually have a deeper and more aesthetic atmosphere, even when the art is not really polished and all black-and-white. If I compare them to food, they'll be pasta - you have to eat slowly by using a pork. The ingredients are basic and simple but oh so delicious ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
