It depends on the story and if I'm knowledgeable about the social issue myself. Honestly, I'm more likely to get mad if they misrepresent something I am educated about. My worst fear as a writer described in a question. Cause like you have to know how to balance the main plot and the sub plot correctly, and by god most authors fail horribly at that. And I end up asking myself if they're just all bad or if I'm way too confident in my abilities. 3 reply
does anyone gets frustrated by the superficial/oversimplified portrayal of social issues in webtoons/mangas that are supposed to be realistic? its always watered down dialogues that are supposed to be intellectual takes on a serious issue but just come off as juvenile and uneducated. especially in romance and slice of life
