As someone who's in the fandom, is bisexual, and lowkey ships some characters due to dynamics, I somewhat disagree. Yes, I do think that some ships... should not exist and are blatantly fetishised.
However, just as you can't assume anyone or any character is gay/lesbian, you can't assume that they're straight, nor can you assume that the shippers...... 1 reply

Like most fandoms there are ppl who ship just about any 2 characters. Ships nor head canons bother me as long as ppl don't get triggered when they don't become canon or because someone else doesn't agree. Overall ships involving fictional characters are mostly harmless so there isn't a need to trash on the shippers.

i agree with the first part but theres nothing wrong with shipping characters of the same gender? the creators never said that theyre straight either so theres nothing wrong with hc them as gay/bi or whatever. rather its annoying that u assume theyre straight because that makes it seem like being straight is the default sexuality. its also not feti...... 1 reply
I agree with most of this, but to be fair, they're fictional characters. Yeah, I get it, if they were real people it wouldn't be OK, but they're not real people. As long as people's ships have some good reasoning and aren't illegal or incest shit then who cares.
