i read yaoi/bl manga because I'm gay, so it turns me on/it's also really cute and makes me happy because since they're gay, I can relate to it? however, i'm curious to know why you fujoshis enjoy it... please let me know (●'◡'●)ノ
Yaoi is traditionally written for women by women. Thus the stories, emotional buildup, and sexual tension are actually designed to cater to female sexual preferences, despite being about men.

To me, there's just something so magical and special in BL. I love seeing how a same-sex couple overcome the hate around them just because they are different, or even coming out of the closet and accepting that it's okay to love someone regardless of their gender, I'm a huge believer of falling in love with someone's soul instead of their appearanc...... 1 reply
As others have said, hetero "romance" and porn is really tiresome as it's catered towards straight men, and not women nor LGBTQ. It's based on a binary worldview and is very, very flawed.
