Online dating
Have not done it, but guys, I'm about to be mid-20s and haven't been on a date, never had a bf, and am highly uncomfortable talking to guys, usuallly bc I always feel pressured bc he could be "the one". I've gotten close to guys before, but I've always never pursued it bc I figured it would just happen one day. lol. It didn't. I'd just like to hear anybody's thoughts/experiences about this. Bc, I think, it's about time, that I venture into the world of internet dating, since real life dating doesn't look like it's going to happen...
It's definitely time to actually try and find someone to share my life with. Key word there being try...(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
It's probably late and you probably got a bf already. Anyway, I just found the discussion somehow. So, um, first off I'm in my late 20s and I don't have a bf. The only time I had a bf is when i was in my late teen. After that, I thought "okay, should I try with girls. Who knows, I might swing that way," but turned out that didn't work as well. I feel where you're coming from. Never been in a relationship, never could get along with guys (10 years surrounded by females dosen't do much good in terms of interaction with guys), etc. Turned to online relationships (both penpals and dating) a long time ago, and there are quite the few pros and cons.

I think it's a bit scary since you will really have no way of verifying if the person is not a psychopath or anything on that line. Yes there were some who found true love through online communication but I still think it's a bit risky. 1 reply
My friend has tried online dating. It took a bit for the site to really know what he wanted but he was in a long-term relationship for year and half as a result. As long as you talk online and meet in public areas it's safe. 2 reply
Well, I've never tried online dating because there are risks that the men you are engaging conversations with might not be who they appear to be. There are so many sick people online nowadays and you never know the man you think is "the one" might just be the one to destroy your life. Nonetheless, always be aware of his tone of approach and arrange...... 1 reply
Next month, it will be 4 years since I started a long distance online relationship with my boyfriend. I'm not going to lie, its difficult for multiple reasons and it can be risky, so be cautious. I mean, I'm grateful for the relationship I have, but it's difficult when we're over 3,500 miles apart and closing the distance seems like a pipe dream*. ...... 1 reply
It just depends how comfortable you are about the entire situation. My best friend met her boyfriend on okcupid and they not only have been dating for over a year now but they also live together. I met my boyfriend online as well and he is the most honest and caring person I have ever been with in my life. Not knowing if someone is a psychopath or ...... 1 reply
Speaking from experience: If you like to play online games, try getting to know people there. Some players have Discord. You can start getting to know them outside the game. (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
