I think most of the great advises have already been said, so I'll just say DO NOT PLAY MMORPGs, at least not until you retire and need something to do, because they will steal so much of your time when you get hooked.

Money does not buy happiness. A big house is meaningless if you are never home to enjoy it. Working endlessly at a job you hate to pay for nice things is not going to fullfil you.
