Well well well... I started read yaoi in January of this year and hell I'm addicted to this fuckery thing! And I'm 33!! My sister, who's 29 actually started to read yaoi in her teen years and I was like "damn girl what are you doing with your life?" Glad I'm not the only one! I'm 26, but got hooked on yaoi just a couple of years ago. I'd been into gay romance before (mainly movies), but since there's hardly any happy ending, I started looking for sth else and voila! Here I am ^^

I was about 24-25 when I started and truthfully, I didn't really like yaoi in the beginning. I read it to get exposed to lgbt issues. Not the most realistic or reliable source but when u come from a strongly anti- lgbt family you need to start slow. 1 reply

Another late boomer here. I didn't start reading yaoi manga until this year 2016 after turning 32! I'd been watching anime for just over two years and really loved the shounen ai animes I watched.
