since everyone's talking about it
y'all need to learn the difference between psychological horror and romanticization.
stories such as nii-chan, killing stalking, color recipe etc. are psychological horror. although nii chan and yui do get together in the end, you can see that yui has lasting trauma and that hes trying to convince himself that their relationship isn't wrong.
stories like sadistic beauty, and warehouse are romanticization. Stories where rape, assault, abuse, stalking, and etc. are used as a mere plot device to get the main characters together are the ones everyone should be mad about. in quote on quote "yaoi", rape tends to be a plot device. MC 2 rapes or sexually assaults MC 1 and they end up together at the end without MC 2 ever facing repercussions.
tldr/in conclusion: psychological horror is just a genre and is great when done well. this should be separated from reality. Romanticization is a different thing and people are allowed to get mad at it. people should be able to compare this to reality.
Fr, i always see fujos complaining about the ending of killing stalking saying some shit like "if only they lived happily together" PLS STFU AND READ ROMANCE THIS MANHWA WASNT MADE TO COMFORT U, ITS MADE TO UNSETTLE U.
I also hate how anytime i say sangwoo was an abusive asshole that didnt love yoonbum, they always come at me with the argurmt that ...... 1 reply
Exactly, there is a difference between psychological thriller/horror and glorification. What constitutes as glorification/romantisation is when serious themes like rape is presented in a good way, downplayed, justified or, like you said, presented as a mere plot device without exploring trauma, etc. I agree with you! 1 reply
Dunno, dun care. M just here to enjoy things, read whatever tf I like and drop it as soon I find it boring ತ_ʖತ
No complaints, cuz I have plenty other likeable mangas/manhwas in here. Dun have time to argue about things that didn't go my way 1 reply
agree. finally someone said it. i feel kind of mad when people argues about KS (which is controversial). personally i don't read it bcs i'm a coward who only read fluffy stuffs :) but i know that the story wasn't supposed to be "romantic" and as both of sangwoo and yoonbum died at the end (and yoonbum developed a trauma).
and people starts calling...... 2 reply

I only finished killing stalking due to the fact that it was so fucked up that I physically could not stop reading it, I also wanted to see if bum would escape.
