I got 3 ear cartilage piercings done with gun. Of the three, one healed very poorly. It gave me immense discomfort while sleeping and got infected. I had to replace the piercing earing with gold earrings so it wouldnt irritate. Even removing the earrings for one night will close it up. I didnt mind the bleeding or pain, but the blinding headaches w......   reply

Yes, I did. I got my helix piercing by having it done via gun. It was no pleasant experience.... Initially, I had absolutely no issues at all. Piercing it didn't hurt (but then again, my pain level is something...). For the first 6 weeks or so, it was pretty okay. But after that, I had so many infections, it was no joke. I still kept the piercing a......   reply

I had my nose pierced with a needle, I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT recommend you getting any piercing, besides earlobe with a gun, really! And doing it with a professional is way more secure, because they know where not to pierce, and the environment and tools are clean, etc. Both I and my sister had our noses pierced, I started with a stud and her with a r......   reply

I got all my eight piercings on my ear with a gun. I got them at a cheap, unprofessional place when I was underage. Even though I did not have problems with them afterwards, I would always recommend getting your piercings professionally done with a needle. A piercing is a hole in your body and when you get it you inflict a wound to yourself. It m......   reply

I actually got my ear lobes pierced with a gun and it healed perfectly! No infections or anything of that sort but you should probs get yours done with a needle. Just my two cents ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭   1 reply

My friend got those two places pierced with a needle. They'll give you instructions to clean your piercings and avoid infections. Her piercings healed just fine. Also, I'm pretty sure the guy making her piercings strongly recommended the needle as he had more control over it and less risks of infection. Guns are nice for earlobes, but I would cons......   1 reply

I got my lobes done with a gun when I was nine. And two more in the flesh above that when I was 19. And three with a needle ( belly button and two cartilage. I'm pretty sure cartilage is always done by a needle. I had horseshoes put in as a starter now I have studs with balls as a back they are more comfortable when you lie on your side. You clean ......   1 reply

If you can get your ears pierced by a professional with a piercing needle. It’s more expensive but much less likely to have problems afterwards. A piercing gun is much more traumatizing for the war bc it’s smashing and brushing the ear. They put a piercing stud in the gun to do the piercing and even though it’s pointy it unlike a piercing nee......   reply
