I’m fine with both, but I depends.
Like, if I’m trying to convey emotion or hardship, I use first person.
If it’s something like action, then third so I can illustrate it better, since you’re looking at it from a third point of view.
For reading, it doesn’t really matter as long as there’s good writing with it. Some stories I think ......
