well you consciously decide to say what's going through your mind when you're in a conversation right? conversations are held by people voicing their thoughts aloud. for people you're close to you might be extremely honest with what you're thinking but for polite conversation you only say the bare minimum. if you're getting into a heated discussion...... reply
