I fullu understand that characters can be annoying but what's with the hate towards female characters in action?? A female character could literally be legitimate and helpful but she'll be called a bitch bc the readers feel threatened by a 2d girl stealing their man.
But when a male character shows up in the same manner he's helpful and a good part of the team??
It's because a well written female character that won't eventually become a potential love interest in an action series is near impossible. A phrase that I like to use is "I like her as a character, hate her as a love interest."
This is because most romance in action is poorly written and shoe horned in.
