Is there a special reason why you read Yaoi (shounen ai included)?
Why do you like to read Yaoi? Personally I read it because in a sense it helps me escape reality and teaches life lessons in a sense. Not only yaoi other genre manga too and anime but lets just focus on yaoi for now yes (▰˘◡˘▰)
i think the most logical answer i can come up with is that its a breath of fresh air from heternormative media. when i first came across the yaoi genre i was kinda young and didn't know any better which led to an initial fetishization of yaoi and gay men, but i know better now thanks to learning more about the lgbtq+ community. definitely not a gre...... 3 reply
