Can you call it grooming in romance stories, where they met when the mc is an Adult and the guy theyre supposed to be in a relationship later on in the story was a child.. and they watched him grow up? like basically raising him and shit but later on develops feelings for him when he's a full grown adult? does that make sense like.. Imagine raising a kid and watching him grow up? how do you feel about it when you read a story involving that plot?
I read an Omegaverse like that once. It was so sad coz the adult recognised his fated mate but they were still a child. So he approached the mom, told her, and asked to be part of the boys life. He kept everything very appropriate and loved the boy, but never let on how difficult it was for him. And he had a lot of joy too, so it was bittersweet.
