reading bl is so exhausting for a number of reasons (at least for me) and yes it is not a representation of the community itself so it's honestly fucking disgusting when some would equate it to reality. it's also horrifying that individuals who are self-proclaimed homophobic would admit with their whole chest that they fetishize gay men and it makes me sick. plus the underlying misogynistic theme of a lot of bl titles
As someone who is pan and doesn't particularly identify with any one gender, I enjoy most soft BL stories. I think they're fun to read, but I also read GL and straight couple stories. To me it's just another cheesy love story. On the other hand I don't appreciate it when people use it for fetish purposes, and hope that society will evolve enough so...... 5 reply
