Issues in BL
I'm just wondering how far you can go to justify a seme's actions in a bl. I used to eat up whatever yaoi authors would write, but now that I've taken a break from reading and am coming I'm seeing so much shit that authors just let pass because the top is hot and powerful.
While its more rare, another question is a bottom's justification. Have you ever read a bl where the bottom was clearly the problem, but it was swept under the rug because whatever.

this has been on my mind a lot recently, cuz i just keep noticing so many tops in yaoi are just terrible but they get a pass because either they’re hot, had a sad past or “redeem” themselves. i understand having a complex character but these guys will just be straight up abusers (ie Jinx) and ppl eat it up...... 1 reply
