Y’all ever read something that has a character that is so blatantly a self insert to the point that it has no substance at all and literally doesn’t line up with any themes in the plot… like wdym you’re an idol now your whole family got merked and you vowed revenged in the first chapter and how tf did you get a goddamn microphone in here!!!

But yeah, when a story got so obvious it’s a self insert and disturbed the plot, I hate it. I don’t really mind self insert as long as the story make sense and good. (Or when the author blatantly said that the story is indeed a self insert)
