i don't really like media manhwa/manga/shows etc. with a female lead. i just don't like the way that females are portrayed in media. especially if it happens to be romance and the relationship with the ml. idk i love real life women (this sound incel af lmao) and have good relationships irl this just pertains to online media. maybe i just had a bad impression, but idk. this can't just be me? i just can't find it in me to read or watch anything if a female is the mc. maybe give me something good idk if i'll read it though RIP

It's coz most of the time, it's either they write the FL as a damsel in distress or a Mary sue, which are so fricking frustrating and annoying to read. I love me some strong, complex FL in any genre but it's quite rare to find one that really hits my spot-- an FL that was written not as an indestructible all-purpose savior, nor a basic eye candy th...... reply
Female here, and I completely understand. Usually I don’t like female characters.
I feel like there is a fine line between strong female and b*tch, and overwhelmingly authors don’t know how to handle that subtlety.
Then there’s is the other end of the spectrum where they make the female either super saintly or super stupid/clumsy.

I don't think you're "wrong" for it since it's pretty well-known that female characters often have less thought put into them, resulting in people being biased against them and ending up disliking them.
I don't feel this way myself since I can enjoy pretty much anything, even if others consider it "bad" (general statement here), so maybe my recs a...... 1 reply
I have this problem too. Recently the amazing animes called frieren and kusuriya no hitorigoto came out and I was really hyped to watch it but lost interest pretty quickly.
