Mistaken sexuality?
I talk about my OTPs quite a lot, so I'm not surprised that my mother thinks I'm gay.( ̄∇ ̄") She comes up to be talking about how her new show has a lesbian pair now, and said "You like that their gay, right?". I mean, nothing wrong with being gay, but I just don't feel comfortable knowing my mother really doesn't understand my sexuality!╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Anyways, how did you deal with it? This isn't limited to just straights mistakes for gays, but it's for everyone! How did you explain, please tell me.... ( T﹏T )
Last time I got mistaken as a lesbian was like last year.. Apparently if you hang out or even talk with a gay girl, you're immediately one of them.
YEAH MAKES PERFECT FUCKING SENSE -_-" 2 reply
When people come up to me and say "I heard you are gay."
I respond with "I'm not gay because that means you only like boys, but I am bisexual(when all actuality I am pansexual)".
I say bisexual instead of pansexual because it isn't widely known where I live. 2 reply

... I guess lesbians never war skirts, soft colours, or make-up.
Don't make assumptions, peeps. Assumptions are bad. 1 reply

I'm Asexual, but a lot of people think that if your Asexual you dont identify as either sex,, which is NOT true, and as i was born as a girl and still identify as one, I get people who dont know what being Asexual is, or who dont know I am Asexual, and they always think that I am Straight.. I have a lot of religious family members, though,, so I ju...... 2 reply
I would just ignore it, I mean if you try to deny it strongly or make a point to tell people your not . . . well ... they're probably just going to think even more that you are gay.
I mean I dont think there is anything you can say that will completely convince them, If it really bothers you then you can tell your mom about it and she might stop ...... 2 reply
I'm actually asexual, for now, and my parents never question my sexuality. I know my mom, not my dad, she kept telling me she'll support me whichever sexual orientation I present. I didn't buy that very well. My family being Asian and me, understanding my tradition very well didn't help, one bit. Right now, my parents doesn't care my love life, exc...... reply
