Mental illness
do you have a mental illness? i know this can be a sensitive topic, so if you don't want to write about it, please don't. but if you want to share some experiences you made with your mental illness, please tell me something. maybe something you cant talk about in real life, or just how the illness interferes with your normal life. anything. i am just currious and want to try to understand what other people think, and how they cope with their mental illness.
Well tbh my mother (registered nurse) says I have some social anxiety but, because she's not a professional in psychology she can't diagnose me. I think my social anxiety is way higher then she says it is. Never officially dianogsed but like 100% i got depression and dunno but I think I lowkey have anxiety too. Honestly aside from like the basic negative outlook on life, suicidal thoughts and a dose of minimal self harm. I personally have depression, anxiety, and insomnia. I try different medications and go to therapy quite frequently, the anxiety part is quite troublesome because I get extremely anxious talking to people even online I end up not being able to hold a conversation. I was officially diagnosed with depression when I was 15. But since I was in kindergarten (4 or 5) I feel different from other people, I couldn't blend in with other kids or make friends. I have anxiety and depression. I was diagnosed with severe anxiety at age 7, I would give myself a panic attack just by trying to go to school. My depression became an issue once I became a teenager. I was suicidal around 14-16, but not to the point where I was hospitalized. I am now 25 and on a medication that helps me to live as normal of a life ...... reply
Heyo. Same type of situation. Diagnosed at 14 Anxiety (OCD) / Depression. The anxiety sort of caused the depression. Or maybe the depression exacerbated the anxiety (chicken and egg scenario). Heaviest dose of SSRI Lex 20 mg. I don't worry so much about medication tolerance, because I legit wouldn't have made it to 27 if I ever stopped taking it. T...... reply
I have gotten diagnosed with asd a couple months ago, at first i thought autism meant you were born unable to talk properly and you appearance would be different, but i learnt that it had nothing to do with appearance and that you may have difficulty speaking but you can still speak, i am happy i got diagnosed as it made me realize a lot of things ...... 1 reply
