Honestly, the stories that are being released now are all gung ho about getting their Fls be 'badass' they forget about the detail and complexity it goes into creating a character.
I love badass females but I also love fls who are scared, who are difficult, who are complex, AND who are kind and warm. Nowadays I can't find much depth in a character smh

Honestly every female character in Revolutionary Girl Utena is soo well written and I love them all. The show lets them all be complex people that aren't 100% good or bad and have their own reasons for what they do. I particularly love Nanami because she subverts the typical like "bitchy, jealous female antagonist" trope...... 1 reply
