A lot of these "Feminine ukes" are just childlike
I'm tired of the way people describe some bottoms as being feminine as if it's a bad thing. Being weak is not a feminine trait, being a crybaby is not a feminine trait, not being able to protect yourself even in the least bit is not a feminine trait. All the traits y'all hate in these characters are not feminine they're childlike, that's why you hate it, because authors make these bottoms act like literal whiny children, i genuinely believe if they were written to act like grown men (as in with a functioning brain) and a personality other than "I'm a virgin's with social anxiety" more people would like feminine ukes
It's rooted to misogyny in the first place. All the things you listed are negative misconceptions about women in general. Being emotional, being weak, the need for the character to be 'innocent'.
Because they take on the submissive part, they basically correlate that shit even tho the genders are different. What I knew through the years of reading...... 1 reply
