I'm an adult, I've had friends who were almost 10 years my junior and we got along fine, I've had friends who were like 20 years my senior and all was good. It's not weird unless people make it weird.

it's a hard NO for me. teenagers are alarmingly frightening, they've no boundaries. I might be inclined to teach them internet safety, but that's as far as I will go. kids shouldn't be mingling in adult spaces, esp online reply
if they're just acquaintances who game together or they just banter off each other in forums that's not the weirdest, but beyond that it's creeping too close to those ppl who unload all their issues on an unsuspecting 14 year old who has no business acting as their emotional wheelchair;;; like if they're having convos in dms that seems mighty weird...... reply
As long as the adult isn’t trying to groom/date the minor, meet up irl, or asking for inappropriate pictures, I think an adult being friends with a minor is okay. Online it’s also hard to know what age someone is to begin with. So if an adult befriends a minor online or treated a minor like a peer not knowing their age I wouldn’t find it odd. 1 reply
Depends on what type of ppl you’re befriending tbh some may be sketchy but I think it’s normal to be friends of any age group I mean friendship doesn’t really mean it’s smth u have to establish with the same age group as yours. Friendship isn’t bound by age. reply
its sort of just inevitable that a minor and an adult online will meet depending on the circles they're in, but the minor def needs to be careful and look out for any sketchy interactions, while the adult keeps their distance on personal topics and draws a clear line on where they stand 1 reply
