How do you decide between Pan or Bi?
What made you choose one orientation over the other. I’ve been debating between the two for years tbh. Anyone want to share why they decide pan over bi and the other way around?
i’ve considered myself as bisexual for a long time, but only recently have i started calling myself bi/pan. Pansexual is technically correct for me so i use it when i rlly have to pick one of the two, but I still use bisexual out of familiarity and people outside of the LGBTQ community tend to know it better. I know it’s a little strange and pr...... 1 reply
this chart helped me because I was always confused on whether I was bi or pan because I liked all genders, but I liked people because they had feminine, masculine, or androgynous qualities, then I discovered I was Omni. 5 reply
Choose the person you like first, THEN you figure out your orientation. It's semantics but you can't truthfully choose your orientation.
Going the other way around is kinda pointless since you will most likely change your mind eventually. reply
pan includes nonbinary and genderfluid people while majority of bi people don't date those people (not saying that some don't, but the main inclusion is females and males). bi may include trans people, but it really depends on the person.

When I first started questioning and finally got to the conclusion of “ok so I like girls and boys, now am I pan or bi?” I did a lot of research on it, cuz I’m the type that likes to know everything, and I found that people have primarily two meanings to both of them, some say bisexual means liking only boys and girls, while some say it actua...... reply
I had to have a good long think about this for me to figure it out. I knew I wasn't straight and I honestly should have figured that out sooner based on some things I did as a kid... haha.
Anyways, I knew that I had some flavor of the gay and before I even looked up anything I examined myself. Who am I attracted to? What about them am I attracted ...... reply
I used to call myself bi but after learning about being pan I realized it fit me more and personally I think the definition of bisexuality is liking more than one gender may it be male and female and than pan sexuality is liking people no matter their gender, as a pansexual u don’t really care about genders. reply
Um.. it’s not something you choose. It’s something that you identify as, and it can always change depending on the person because everyone goes through shit in their life that awakens their inner gayness or straightness or whatever lol (idk what I’m saying at this point.) soo yeah.. just wanted to clear that up.
Well anyways, I think I ident...... reply
My sexual/romantic orientation discovery went like this: bi → pan → queer → ace → asexual demi-panromantic → queer (encompassing my gender, sexual and romantic orientations)
I don't really have one definite preference between the prefix bi- or pan-. You could interpret bi as a sexual attraction to the same gender and to different genders...... reply
