Well I started coming out when I was like 12. Never specified my sexuality, just started telling ppl I like women. NOBODY supported especially bc it's illegal in my country. Parents cried, friendships ended, started becoming an outcast in my all girls' school. To me it just never seemed like a big deal tbh. I never had a denial phase or an ashamed ...... reply
I've never really came out cuz I don't see it as necessary (straight people don't need to come out as straight so why should I have to yk...), but I have had one experience where I actually come out. I was walking home from school with my friend and we ended up getting on the topic of religion and lgbtq yk... not a great combo... my friend is musli...... reply
I was telling a story and halfway through realised it made no sense if the listener (my mom) didn't know I was ace, I was already too far in to drop it so I just commited which turned out pretty well for me overall. reply

my friends in middle school to high school were all queer or alr accepting

Eh mine was uneventful. Mom said "long as their not an asshole to you" and my brother apparently knew years before I did, so when I finally confessed he was like "I knew it. You acted too gay when we were kids I called it" so yeah. reply
