I saw a debate on whether or not people should drop manga, specifically BL, after a certain age due to it being "childish" and "creepy". Alot said yes and that the limit should be between 40 to 60 years old.
Personally, I think age should only play a factor to determine whether or not you should still be reading BL in a high-school setting (especially if it's YAOI) but overall I think it's fine to read it at any old age as long as it isn't something illegal and it isn't hurting anyone.
I'd like to see your guys opinions on this though.
I don't think so at all, it's not like there's a switch that turns off your interest in reading romance once you turn 40. This is a completely normal thing and it's kind of silly people actually think otherwise. I mean, most mangaka/authors are middle aged.
I think people have negative opinions on it because of the stigma around BL/yaoi readers. ...... reply
