My favourite book is Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke. It's technically the first book in a trilogy, but I've only read up to the 2nd and it works perfectly fine as a stand alone book so you don't have to read the other ones.

not a proper book but Reverend Insanity was cool. it has lots of thinking concepts and the world building is top tier. Although unfinished and 2000+ chapters, the journey is still worth it reply
dark matter by michelle paver, it's a really well written psychological horror novel about being isolated in one of the most isolated places in the world, someplace near the north pole.
